WHO IS THE CM OF KARNATAKA
The current Chief Minister of Karnataka is Basavaraj Bommai who assumed office on July 28, 2021. He succeeded B.S. Yediyurappa who resigned as the Chief Minister after serving for two years. Basavaraj Bommai is a seasoned politician and has been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for a long time. He has been a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Shiggaon constituency in Haveri district since 2008.
Bommai has a degree in mechanical engineering from the B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology in Hubli. He also has a law degree from the Karnataka State Open University in Mysore. Before entering politics, he worked in the private sector and was associated with companies like Tata Motors and Wipro.
As the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Bommai has already made some significant contributions to the state. One of his major initiatives has been to focus on the development of rural areas. He has launched several schemes aimed at providing better infrastructure, education, and healthcare facilities in rural areas. He has also emphasized the need to promote agriculture and has introduced several measures to support farmers.
Another area of focus for Bommai has been to improve the law and order situation in the state. He has instructed the police to take strict action against those who are involved in illegal activities. He has also launched a program called 'My Beat, My Pride' to encourage beat police officers to be more proactive in maintaining law and order in their respective areas.

He has launched several initiatives aimed at attracting investment and promoting entrepreneurship. He has also announced a plan to set up a 'Karnataka Innovation Authority' to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the state.
